10 Things You Can Do for Your Loved Ones
. . . Often in Sixty Seconds or Less

  1. Listen . . . without thinking, speaking, sighing, or rolling your eyes.
  2. Make them laugh when they need to the most.
  3. Bring them tissues . . . and cry with them.
  4. Bring them ice cream.
  5. Give them a hug.
  6. Tell them they are talented, wonderful, fabulous, beautiful, brilliant, and sexy when they feel otherwise.
  7. Choose to not tell them when you know they are wrong and you are right.
  8. Accept their choices . . . without arguing, fuming, criticizing, or leaving the room.
  9. Leave the room if it’s the only way you can avoid arguing, fuming, or criticizing.
  10. Forgive them . . . even if they never say, “I’m sorry.”
